        The first idea of implementing the tool was actually a straightforward solution to the problem: asking ChatGPT for the entire result at once. However, this approach **turned out to be impossible** because of the huge amount of mixed information (we recall that it is about 250 PDF pages of handwritten medical and police reports, conditions of the incident and testimony). Because of this, ChatGPT can't distinguish groups of topics and be specific about each of them. Therefore, we decided to **divide the task** and generate the text summary for each topic separately.<br/>
        Following this, we decided to divide the task into several threads and assigned it to **five specialized assistants** who were tailored to their needs. These assistants were given the **following context**:<br/>
        * **Examples of work** that attorneys have done by hand, with the widest possible range of outcomes and combinations in the results;
        * A **decision template** clearly showing the order of the conclusions in the file;
        * **Additional information** about special cases that the assistant needs to pay attention to.<br/>

        It is important to note that the assistant should repeatedly point out the importance of one or another aspect in order to improve the quality of the results.<br/>
	    At the initial stage, **we created the assistants themselves** that allowed us to take some general prompts. Then we started to **refine the prompts for the assistants** we made so that they give more accurate results. That’s why we decided to ask about a particular aspect in each query to get the desired result. However, this approach was not quite ideal and sometimes there were problems where the result was not obtained and the assistant was difficult to convince that it was wrong. In such cases, we had to reload the chat through the API to initialize a new session.<br/>
	    It is also worth mentioning the iterative approach to creating such AI assistants. If the assistant lacks some knowledge, it is necessary **to manually find some data from a set of documents** and other systems and add it to the task description, thus improving the context and prioritizing. Sometimes it is even necessary to **insert the same information into the prompt**, thus showing the importance of some knowledge that should not be missed.<br/>
	    The accuracy of the results also depends on the format of the answer to be asked to the assistant. This seems to be a standard practice already, but it is quite useful for this type of problem.
        </div>

        As a result of five assistants' work, we got a **structured text with a list of conclusions and important results** highlighted in bold.<br/>
	    Processing one set of documents for one case through OpenAPI costs about **$3-4 USD** and significantly saves the attorney's time to read 250 pages of text. Our solution highlights important aspects of the case, and the attorney can check the accuracy of the conclusion made by the AI tools and easily supplement it if necessary. Our solution has accelerated the work of attorneys **by 1.5 times**.

	    We briefly describe some context for this case. The company has several products and services that need to be sold. We can use, for example, the Amazon Deals service to collect the most favorable and interesting offers: it shows which products are currently discounted and for which product referrals can get the maximum benefit.<br/>
	    The task was to develop an algorithm or method that would allow us **to create a lot of simple and uniform texts** *(about 100 texts per week)*. We also discovered how well an AI can handle such a task.<br/>

        Writing 100 review articles in a week requires a large monetary outlay, so we decided to use ChatGPT, but this approach has **several problems** that took a significant amount of time to complete:<br/>
        * **Creating texts** by working with ChatGPT **in a question-and-answer format turned out to be disadvantageous**, as it is important to get all the necessary data in one query.
        * From the previous point, the **prompt becomes more complex**, and as a result, the neural network may move away from the required text structure. This requires the clearest possible instructions of what the text structure will be. It should have **a good headline and a convenient response format**: a product description in a couple of sentences and a brief explanation why this product is useful to the customer. That’s why the first thing we did was adjusting the prompt to generate text with the required structure.
        * ChatGPT had a problem with **adding the correct link to the right product** from the Amazon catalog without changing it. This also took some time and writing clear instructions. The last problem that is still being worked on is the tone of voice of the neural network that generates the texts. The results were filled with excessive praise of the product and filled with cliched vocabulary.<br/>

        These tasks were worked on in co-operation with the product team. An administrative panel was created for them so that they could experiment with the introductory part of the prompts needed to customize the tone of voice. Developers focused on creating clear instructions related to the structure of the response and automating the results checking so that low-quality texts with incorrect structure would not be allowed to be published on the website.

        After experiments with integrating OpenAI tools we created **an automated solution** that can help with writing a lot of simple and uniform content, which started to earn thousands of dollars a week for the media company. Of course, it takes a huge amount of traffic to make that kind of money, but it was there. After implementing this tool, employees can now write **about 100 article reviews per week**, as well as handle more complex tasks. This case study perfectly shows how a media company can make money on new technologies and, in particular, on AI tools.

        We opted for **Drupal** as the solution believed to save the company's budget and enable teachers to use their supplements online while generating more revenue. Drupal, a content management system (CMS), addresses many technical aspects that need resolving before product development begins. These include **handling different user roles and permissions, content creation and management, distribution and integration, advanced visualization, and integrating day-to-day services like email and payments**. Most of these elements come ready to use in Drupal, with minimal customization needed for only a few tasks, depending on your desired level of customization. All of the above factors contribute to why Drupal **can help save budget** while remaining one of the best solutions available.<br/>
We built the mentioned features – a platform with an admin panel for editors and stories as well as a subscription and newsletters for teachers – based on designs from the ground up, following the company’s guidance. **We primarily used Drupal 7, along with third-party subscription and newsletter distribution services**. The project is hosted in the Acquia cloud infrastructure and is maintained by us using a continuous integration approach.<br/>
The edit mode view could sometimes confuse editors, leading to increased time spent on each piece of content. That's why, in addition to developing the platform, we decided to introduce **a new content management tool**. Since the company's business model mainly revolved around providing online content to teachers, our team created **advanced content creation forms inspired by the user-friendly features of WordPress and AEM, two CMSs the company was familiar with**. These new forms simplified content creation and distribution while offering helpful tips to editors. We also streamlined the process of working with images and videos by leveraging this tool, making it incredibly easy for editors to post and edit multimedia elements. This solution combined the benefits of an existing Drupal solution with a high level of customization we achieved by integrating them, ultimately enhancing efficiency and user-friendliness.

        We planned **to create a dedicated website for centralized storage, based on Drupal, which would utilize its API to aggregate data from various HIMSS websites**. Essentially, we developed a microservice to collect and store data from all HIMSS websites.
        However, after the first phase of development and releasing the solution, an issue arose not due to our solution but with the service used for data analysis. Our primary task was to establish a centralized data storage system that would subsequently transfer data to the analytics service. In 2018, **a record-breaking 45,000 users attended the conference** within just seven days. When we initiated the data transfer to the analytics service, it encountered a breakdown because it couldn't handle the substantial load from the storage side. This service was vital for HIMSS as it offered advisory features based on user behavior, making it a critical component.
        Recognizing that the existing server wouldn't meet expectations, **we updated the centralized storage system in the second phase of development** to:
        * Extend the data retention period, anticipating potential future needs beyond the conference.
        * Function as a replacement for the previous analytics service, enabling HIMSS to continue operating smoothly during the conference as originally planned.

Consequently, our primary focus for enhancing basic site performance centered on **the effective utilization of caching, starting with web framework caches and extending to Content Delivery Networks (CDNs)**. Given that a top-tier, high-performance server was not imperative with proper caching in place, we made the decision **to migrate the site from a customized AWS-based platform to Pantheon, a platform tailored specifically for Drupal and WordPress**.

        To fortify the website's resilience, we established **a disaster recovery platform on AWS**, mirroring the site's infrastructure. This platform remained inactive most of the time, incurring no charges for the client. However, in the event of a main hosting failure, the client could activate it, temporarily replacing the hosting.

        For handling assets, we relocated them to **a dedicated server designed exclusively for asset delivery**. Regrettably, off-the-shelf solutions proved to be costly, prompting us to create our own solution based on the open-source application Thumbor.<br/>
        In terms of advertisements, we carefully **optimized the way ads were loaded and displayed on the site**. We conducted a thorough evaluation of existing ad platforms to select the swiftest and most revenue-efficient options, and we continue to actively monitor and support them.

This app lets users track their health and share information with their doctors via mobile application or website. The customers for this app also include insurance companies who want to help their members catch health problems early to save money. They are very concerned about keeping their members' data safe. So, the company has to do a detailed **IT Risk Assessment and get a certification called SOC2 Type 2** before they can make any agreements. **Our job was to update the project's technology to meet these requirements and even migrate it to a new one**.<br/>

        At first, the project used **custom code in Drupal 6**, but it wasn't very good at protecting data. The code had lots of weaknesses and couldn't easily handle new features, which we needed to meet the insurance companies' requirements.<br/>
        So, the first thing we did to make it more secure was **to redo the system using microservices in Symfony**, a strong PHP framework known for its security. Microservices let developers work on different parts independently, keeping everything up-to-date, which makes the whole system more reliable.<br/>
        The second step was **to set up rules to make sure our team followed all the right steps**. We followed rules based on **HIPAA (in the US) and PIPEDA (in Canada)** laws for companies that deal with personal data. We also improved our workflow, including code reviews and roles to approve changes before they went live, which is important for both existing and new healthcare startups.<br/>
        The final step was **to get a security certification from a specialized third-party company following SOC2 standards**. To do this, they hired an expert to test the application and find any weak points. Most of the issues were because of Drupal 6, but we couldn't completely remove it because some core elements needed it. To get more certifications, we rewrote most of the project using Symfony, keeping Drupal 6 only for our client's needs like the admin panel and a few important features. Other people couldn't access Drupal 6 anymore.

        Once we made all the changes and ran our marketing campaigns, the project showed some impressive improvements:
        * The application used to go down unexpectedly at least once a month before we upgraded the infrastructure, but **it hasn't had any downtime** since the change.

        * We improved the quality of our code by using a new Agile-based workflow that includes development, quality assurance, and review stages with different roles. It used to take several months to make releases, but now we can do it **in just 2-3 weeks**.
