Unified SSO and one-click webcast registration

SC Media, MSSP Alert and ChannelE2E share Auth0 SSO. We fixed password-manager issues, integrated event registration with existing sessions, replaced Swoogo polling with webhooks and stabilised ON24 attendance sync.

Client context

Users register for webcasts on three brands but SSO passwords were captured on each domain — breaking password managers. Event data sync hit Swoogo rate limits; ON24 attendance was unreliable.

Challenge

Smooth cross-site auth; minimal friction for repeat registrants; real-time event data without API throttling; post-deploy integration health checks.

What we did

  • Two-step registration: email first, Auth0 password on IdP domain; optional full CRA account.
  • One-click register for logged-in users; stepped UI replacing overloaded forms.
  • Symfony webhook endpoint for Swoogo; configurable folder IDs via admin CRUD.
  • ON24 and Swoogo registration and attendance sync; k6 smoke tests in CI for qa/preprod/prod.

Process

  1. SSO UX audit across three properties.
  2. Auth0 template and post-registration hook updates.
  3. Webhook migration with legacy polling fallback.
  4. Automated smoke suite wired to deploy pipeline.

Result and impact

Password managers work across brands; repeat webcast signup reduced to one action; Swoogo rate-limit incidents eliminated; integration smoke catches errors before users do.
