PrepClass: EdTech MVP in four weeks
PrepClass needed an MVP in four weeks on a tight budget. We shipped mobile app + admin site with LaTeX formula support in React Native, Q&A, analytics and MTN Nigeria payments after building our own SDK from sparse operator docs.
Client context
PrepClass connects Nigerian students with tutors for exam prep. Practice relies on past papers in inconsistent formats; tutors needed progress visibility; local mobile payments were mandatory.
Challenge
No LaTeX renderer for React Native; MTN had no SDK; four-week deadline and limited budget for phase 1.
What we did
- Scoped MVP with client; delivered functional app + admin in three weeks after sign-off.
- Built custom LaTeX formula module for React Native and WYSIWYG admin plugin.
- Reverse-engineered MTN payment API with operator support; shipped reusable SDK.
- Phase 2: courses module, analytics, Q&A and payment integration.
